a. Click "New Users - Click Here".
b. Enter “34481X” for the Conference ID, your email address, and choose a new password. Continue to enter information as prompted.
c. Check that the contact information is still valid, and click "Submit".
FOR PREVIOUS USERS, BUT USING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME FOR A NEW CONFERENCE

a. Enter “34481X” for the Conference ID, your email address, and enter the password you used for your old account.
b. When you click "Login", simply click "Continue". You will need to re-confirm your password. You can use the existing password or a new password.
c. You will receive online and email confirmation of successful account setup/creation.
FOR RETURNING (ALL) USERS
a.
Enter 34481X for the Conference ID, email address and password. You will be prompted to check your information. Once you accept it you will move to the next page.
2. For each conference paper, click "Create New Title".
3. Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended but not required).
4. Click "Submit PDF for Checking" or "Submit Source Files for Checking or Converting”.
5. Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click Browse and navigate to file, and click "Upload File". You will receive online and email confirmation of successful upload.
6. You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress Plus-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.
Download the successfully converted PDF file to your computer. You will need to upload this file on the EDAS system.

STEP TWO: REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE

1. Each paper requires a non-student author registration (at FULL RATE). Each registration can be used for up to 3 papers (long or short, oral or poster) by the same common author. Please follow the registration instructions on the IEEE ComSoc Registration website below.
ANTS Registration Link: http://www.cvent.com/d/04qg13
Authors need to register their paper by October 31, 2014. November 14, 2014
Please note the following registration policy stated in the IEEE ANTS 2014 Call for Papers.
IEEE and IEEE Communications Society Policies:
All IEEE ANTS 2014 technical papers must be associated with an author registration at the FULL rate. For authors presenting multiple papers, one FULL registration is valid for up to three papers. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.
2. Once you are successfully registered, you will get a registration confirmation number. Please note down this number. You will need it to upload the camera-ready paper on the EDAS system.

STEP THREE: UPLOAD THE CAMERA-READY PAPER AND IEEE COPYRIGHT FORM

1.
Once you have the PDF-Express generated camera-ready paper and the registration confirmation number, login to the EDAS system and select your ANTS paper. From there on, follow the instructions below to submit the camera-ready submission:
Uploading final manuscripts for accepted papers is essentially the same as uploading your review manuscript. Do NOT register a new paper! The details depend on whether your conference uses EDAS for registering for the conference and managing the copyright process, but you will be prompted as needed.
a. Prepare your final manuscript according to the instructions and template provided by your conference web site. IEEE publishes templates for Word and LaTeX. Make sure that your paper does not contain any page numbers.
b. In EDAS, go to My papers and click on the link under "Upload paper" (refer the figure below).
c. During upload, EDAS checks whether your paper meets the conference formatting requirements. In particular, it checks that all fonts are embedded.

2. Authors of accepted papers should submit copyright forms via the (c) link in the "My Papers" tab, as shown below.

A link to the copyright page can also be found on each paper page.
Note: IEEE ANTS requires that you register for the conference before you submit your final manuscript.
The final deadline for submitting camera-ready papers is October 31, 2014, 11:59pm ET November 14, 2014

INITIAL PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

Technical Papers

Prospective authors are invited to submit original technical papers for publication in the IEEE ANTS 2014 Conference Proceedings and for presentation at the Conference.

Authors must submit their manuscripts using EDAS (https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=18053) on or before Aug. 22, 2014. All manuscripts will be blind-reviewed for technical content and scope by a technical program committee. If you are new to EDAS, please visit this page http://edas.info/doc/authors.html

During the initial manuscript submission process via EDAS, it is the authors' responsibility to ensure that the author list and the paper title of the submitted file is an exact match to the author list and paper title on the EDAS registration page. In particular, the EDAS registration page must include all co-authors, not just the submitting author. Failure to comply with this rule might result in your paper being withdrawn from the review process. Please be aware that the author list of an accepted paper cannot be changed in the final manuscript.

All submissions should be written in English with a maximum page length of SIX (6) printed pages for the long paper track and THREE (3) pages for the short paper track. Papers should be in PDF format, two columns, (minimum 10-point font) or greater and compliant with other IEEE ANTS manuscript guidelines.

Standard IEEE conference templates for LaTeX and Microsoft Word formats can be used to write technical papers and are found at: http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html. Please run the paper formatting check on EDAS yourself by clicking on the  icon under the Check Format column in the Files row in the basic paper view page.

Papers exceeding 6 pages will not be accepted at EDAS, nor will they be reviewed at all.

All accepted and presented papers would be included in IEEE ANTS 2014 Conference Proceedings and digitally archived through IEEE Xplore.

Important IEEE Policy Announcement:

The IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (including its removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

Papers are reviewed on the basis that they do not contain plagiarized material and have not been submitted to any other conference at the same time (double submission). These matters are taken very seriously and the IEEE Communications society will take action against any author who engages in either practice. Follow these links to learn more:IEEE Policy on Plagiarism
IEEE Policy on Double Submission
Submitted papers must be unpublished and not currently under review for any other publication. Authors of accepted papers will need to sign an IEEE copyright release form and present their paper at the conference. If you have any questions regarding the submission of manuscripts, please contact the Technical Program Co-Chairs or the Publications Chair.

Submission Guideline Summary:

Long Paper: 6 Pages
Short Paper: 3 Pages
Submission in PDF format
Submit through EDAS at https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=18053

Camera-ready submission guidelines will be updated after the paper submission deadline.

Tutorials:

Each tutorial proposal should have:

(i) A 1-page abstract that includes:

  • Title of the tutorial
  • Name and affiliation and a short biography of the instructor(s)
  • Description of the tutorial scope, Intended audience;

(ii) A 2-page description that includes:

  • Main topics (preferably with some description) to be covered during the tutorial
  • A description of real-world systems, experiences and/or case studies, details of the new knowledge/perspectives gained by the audience attending the tutorial.
Tutorial proposals should be directly EMAILED to the Tutorial Co-Chairs (at kalimani.venkatesan@aricent.com AND vijamann@in.ibm.com) by Sep. 15, 2014.

Panels:

Panel proposals should have:

  • The Panel Title
  • Scope
  • Lead Panelist
  • List of 3-4 Panel Members
Panel proposals should be directly EMAILED to the Panel Co-Chairs (pamelakumar@ieee.org AND mukesht@ieee.org) by Sep. 15, 2014.

Ph.D. Student Forum:

Original submissions are invited for ANTS 2014 PhD forum in the broad areas of wireline networks, wireless networks, and network applications. Authors must submit a one page extended abstract using EDAS  (Link: https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=18053&track=59391) on or before Sept. 30, 2014.

The PhD forum provides an opportunity for research students to showcase their original yet incomplete 'work-in-progress.' Apart from the TPC reviews, presentations would allow authors an opportunity to have detailed discussions with the conference attendees and obtain feedback on their work. The forum also encourages authors to hold live and/or interactive demonstrations as part of their presentations.

The abstract should describe the main motivation and results in sufficient detail to allow the reviewers to assess the potential contribution of the work. The abstracts should be authored by active PhD Students only and should be at most one page long in two-column format. A set of 7 keywords should accompany the abstract. The abstracts will not be archived, and the authors would not need to sign the IEEE copyright form.

Abstracts will be reviewed by the TPC and only selected work can be presented in the conference. However, the selected abstracts will not appear in IEEE Xplore. Submitted abstracts should be unpublished and not under review for any other publication and if selected the authors must present their work at the conference.

EXHIBIT/DEMOS:

IEEE ANTS 2014 will include exhibit/demonstration sessions that shall provide a forum to present and discuss: industry/academia demonstrations of new products, applications and techniques, practical implementations; industrial and commercial developments, research testbeds and implementations.

An Exhibit/Demo proposal should have a 3-page extended abstract describing:

  • Main contributions of the exhibits/demo
  • Merits of the proposed ideas

Demonstration submissions should include the space, power, network connectivity requirements and/or any other equipment-specific requirements.

The documents must contain the authors' names, affiliations, contact information and the designated corresponding author. Proposals will be evaluated mainly based on their potential to stimulate interesting discussions, exchange of ideas and promote collaborations.

The Exhibit/Demo proposal should be submitted through EDAS (https://edas.info/newPaper.php?c=18053&track=65241) by Sep. 15, 2014.
